Fill your home with color and beauty each week from April through October with specialty flowers of your choice. Bear Creek Farm offers magnificent, sustainable grown, fresh harvested varieties in bloom during different times throughout the year. First up to start now: rare Iceland poppies and specialty exotic tulips. Later in the season, you can choose from double sized peonies, or the farm's acclaimed dahlias, named by New York Magazine as the Best, along with many other national and international awards.
What is a CSA Flower Subscription? CSA is an abbreviation for Community Supported Agriculture. When you become a member of a CSA, you are buying a share of the flowers that are produced each season. By purchasing a share for four or six week, Bear Creek Farm will deliver beautiful, award-winning blooms directly to the porch of The Stissing Center on Sundays throughout the season. Here's the best part: Bear Creek Farm will donate a portion of the revenue to The Stissing Center.
There are several share options available and you can choose the one that best suits you. CSA members will be mailed one week before the start of each share, and texted the evening before each pickup as a polite reminder about to get your flowers.
Iceland poppies are difficult to source – rare. For this reason, Bear Creek Farm is especially proud to offer clear evidence of spring. Unexpected in their frilly warmth and pop of color, these flowers usually appear in late March. Delicate in appearance because the petals appear as crushed silk in pastel colors, these crops are surprisingly long-lasting and sturdy. Click here for more info.
When one thinks of tulips, the supermarket variety springs most readily to mind. While  Bear Creek Farm is appreciative of all flowers, they pride ourselves on cultivating unusual and harder to find varieties. As such, they focus on the double-flowered and parrot type varieties. These will be the showstoppers at any festive holiday gathering and they start to appear in late April or early May. Click link for more info.
