About The Event
Looking for a refreshing take on American folk music? Look no further than Betty and the Baby Boomers, a quintet that has been performing together for over 35 years. With a unique blend of three and four part harmonies, this group "Boomerizes" each song with impressive instrumental work on guitars, Dobro, bass, bodhran, and kazoo. Their repertoire includes original songs from Jean, as well as traditional tunes, Americana roots music, contemporary artists like Greg Brown and Bruce Springsteen, and classic "folksingers" like Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Phil Ochs. Their latest album, This Love Will Carry, is their most diverse yet, including a jazz standard from Brazil, a rhythm-and-blues classic, two songs from Ireland, and a country favorite. Don't miss the chance to see this talented group perform live!
