About The Event
The SOUND ON Open Mic Series aims to amplify voices that don't always get a chance at the mic or on a stage. It also encourages storytellers, musicians, and artists to turn the "sound on" about any topic dear to them, combatting the social media era urge to simply "sound off" about something. The series was set to debut right when COVID hit, but the vision has grown during that time. In keeping with the mission, the November 4th event will be handing the mic over only to our local high school students--a population that deserves to be heard. Â Â
The event is open to all audiences but performers for November 4th will strictly be high school students. First come basis for signing up to perform.
