About The Event
In collaboration with Young Concert Artist Agency, Chamber Music at The Stissing Center is proud to present two of the most promising young musicians of our generation: American saxophonist Steven Bank and Chinese accordionist Hanzhi Wang. The electric duo will perform a dynamic program combining classics and rarely-performed music.
Praised for her captivating stage presence and technically masterful performances, Hanzhi Wang is the first accordionist in history to win First Prize at the Young Concert Artists (YCA) competition. Likewise, saxophonist Steven Banks is YCA’s first-ever First Prize winner on his instrument. Banks is also recognized for his moving compositions, glowing mahogany tone, and blossoming collaboration with the Cleveland Orchestra.
