Bar None: Cannabis Redemption, directed by Howard Ellis, explores the impact of outdated marijuana laws on formerly incarcerated individuals. Although cannabis is now legal in much of the U.S., hundreds of thousands still carry the weight of past convictions—and tens of thousands remain behind bars. This powerful documentary follows 13 people caught in the justice system who've turned their lives around by entering the legal cannabis industry, becoming advocates, business owners, and community leaders. At its core, Bar None is about second chances, the fight for equity in the cannabis space, and the urgent need for true legalization and reform. Through personal stories, the film invites viewers to reconsider who profits, who's left behind, and what justice really looks like.
