The Burritt Percussion Group was founded by internationally celebrated percussionist, composer, and educator Michael Burritt, whose influence has helped shape an entire generation of percussion artists around the world. Composed of former students now enjoying distinguished careers as performers, educators, soloists, and chamber musicians, the ensemble serves as both a celebration of Burritt’s music and a reflection of his lasting artistic legacy. Blending virtuosic performance, dynamic collaboration, and the unmistakable energy of contemporary percussion, the Burritt Percussion Group presents electrifying programs featuring Burritt’s original compositions alongside works that have inspired and defined today’s percussion landscape.
