Event
Information
Named the American Theatre Organ Society’s “Theatre Organist of the Year” in 2022, Zach Frame discovered the theater pipe organ at a young age and quickly developed a lasting passion for the instrument. He began with piano studies before teaching himself the unique techniques of theater organ performance, an art form with few formal instructors. As part of Stissing Center’s Summer Children’s Series, Zach will present an interactive program designed to introduce young audiences to the sounds, mechanics, and history of the theater organ in an engaging, hands-on way. Zach grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and earned a degree in Recording Technology from McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. In addition to performing, he is an experienced pipe organ technician and is actively restoring his own theater pipe organ. Known for his ability to manage the instrument’s many moving parts—melody, bass, rhythm, and effects all at once-Zach brings both technical skill and a deep appreciation for the instrument’s expressive range to his work.
