Event
Information
Celebrate the creativity of local filmmakers at the Pine Plains Festival of Short Films! Held over two nights at Stissing Center—once the beloved Plains Theater, the town’s movie house from the 1930s through the 1960s—this festival honors our building’s cinematic roots while looking to the future.
Each evening features a completely different program of short films, with a brief Q&A after every screening, giving audiences a chance to meet the filmmakers and hear their stories.
This special event is also a fundraiser, as it supports Stissing Center’s effort to upgrade our film screening equipment, ensuring we can offer high-quality movie experiences for years to come. By attending, you’re not just enjoying great films—you’re helping expand Stissing Center’s diverse arts programming and bringing film back to its historic home.
