Pianist Sophia Zhou returns to Stissing Center with an all-Gershwin program (with a touch of Duke Ellington ) featuring some of the most beloved works in the American musical canon.
Sophia will be joined by tenor Daniel McGrew and clarinetist Graeme Steele Johnson for a truly memorable evening of Gershwin’s music. The program will include a solo piano performance of Rhapsody in Blue, along with other works filled with lyricism, energy, and unmistakable American spirit.
A New York–based performer who has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw, Zhou is also the Artistic Director of the Millbrook Music Salon and formerly served as Director of Chamber Music at Stissing Center. Her deep connection to this community makes this concert both a homecoming and a celebration of music that continues to resonate across generations.
