New York City’s The Bang Group, directed by choreographer David Parker and dancer Jeffrey Kazin, returns to Stissing Center with A Mouthful of Shoes, a dynamic suite of rhythm-driven dances. Building on Parker’s celebrated exploration of the musical possibilities of the dancing body, this work transforms traditional and original musical scores into choreography “played” entirely by feet, voice, and bodies. Equal parts exacting and playful, A Mouthful of Shoes offers a vivid and witty musical journey into the social power of rhythm.
