Rachna Nivas' tour-de-force solo performance is simultaneously dance, music, poetry, and storytelling. 'Unedited' showcases North Indian classical kathak dance in its most raw and unadulterated form, featuring continuous interplay and improvised rhythmic exchange between the dancer and live musical artists. A highly interactive experience, Rachna displays her mastery of all elements of kathak to captivate and intimately engage audiences, bringing them on a journey that relies primarily on depth of artistry and compelling dance and music.

In the Wake of Yes: Dance, Poetry & Piano
An evening of dance, poetry, and piano featuring choreographer Catherine Tharin’s In the Wake of Yes—a multimedia performance with film, music, and spoken word. Poet Alison Granucci explores themes of the natural world, joined by pianist Igor Ferreira, who also performs a solo piece. A rich collaboration of local talent.

Diana Byer, founder and for over 40 years the artistic director of New York Theatre Ballet, returns to Stissing Center by popular demand with her company, Diana Byer and Dancers.
The program features a site-specific work specifically created for Stissing Center, and the duet from the 1951 Broadway musical Paint Your Wagon, original choreography by Agnes de Mille, considered one of her most poetic and affecting musical theater works.
